Zhangshiyan Scenic Area is the naming site of the “Zhangshiyan Landform,” one of the world’s three major sandstone landforms. It is also the location featured in the China Taihang Mountains special stamps and home to the world’s largest natural Echo Wall. On April 27, 2025, the Zhangshiyan section of Hengxi Expressway officially opened to traffic, making travel from Shijiazhuang and Hengshui to the scenic area more convenient.
Activity Details: Visitors with household registration in Shijiazhuang or Hengshui who make a reservation one day in advance can enjoy free admission and experience the charm of this world-renowned tourist mountain.
Activity Period: From April 13 to April 26, 2026.
Reservation Method: Follow the WeChat Official Account “Hebei Zhangshiyan” → tap “Ticketing Service” at the bottom → Reservation Service → Leyouji Mini Program → Limited-Time Reservation, and fill in the required information as instructed. Same-day reservations are not eligible for the free-admission offer. Alternatively, follow the Douyin account “Zhangshiyan Scenic and Historic Area” or “Hebei Zhangshiyan Scenic Area” and send a private message to make a reservation. Please clearly provide your name, number of visitors, and visiting time.
Kind Reminder: Due to the narrow internal roads and limited parking spaces, visitors are requested to take the scenic area’s internal shuttle service when entering the scenic area. The shuttle service costs RMB 20 for the whole day. Visitors who have not made an advance reservation or have not purchased an internal shuttle ticket are not eligible for the free-admission policy. Reserved visitors can exchange valid ID documents for entrance tickets at the Zhangshiyan Visitor Center.
