On May 13, Nong Rong, Deputy Director of the Central Hong Kong and Macao Work Office, led a delegation to Zanhuang County for an on-site research visit. The delegation inspected the county’s progress in consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively linking them with rural revitalization, learned about the progress of targeted assistance work, and promoted related work to a new level. Wang Zhenqiang, Secretary Bureau of the Central Hong Kong and Macao Work Office at bureau-director level; Zhan Deming, Deputy Director of the Fund Department of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation; Li Weijun, Vice Mayor of Shijiazhuang Municipal Government; Sun Ning, Deputy Director of the Hebei Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and Deputy Director of the Hebei Provincial Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office; Chen Hongfeng, Secretary of the Zanhuang County Party Committee; and Lu Zhanjun, Deputy Secretary of the Zanhuang County Party Committee and County Mayor, participated in the research visit.
Nong Rong and his delegation visited Zhangshiyan Shimao Charity Medical and Elderly Care Hospital, Zhangshiyan Art Creation Center, Zanhuang County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Niushangou Village, and Zanhuang County Comprehensive Service Center for Persons with Disabilities. They listened to work reports and gained a detailed understanding of targeted assistance work, rural revitalization, project construction, and other related efforts. The delegation also attended the opening ceremony of the Nanqinghe Primary School sports field, a support project of the Central Hong Kong and Macao Work Office.
Nong Rong emphasized the need to fully implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee on advancing comprehensive rural revitalization, continuously deepen coordination and cooperation, strengthen daily communication, work reporting, and information feedback, and precisely focus on the actual development needs of the county. He called for solid and detailed implementation of all targeted assistance work, continued consolidation and expansion of poverty alleviation achievements, and comprehensive empowerment of rural revitalization. Existing assistance projects should be well managed and effectively used, so that assistance resources can be transformed into driving forces for local development, continuously improving public livelihood infrastructure and enhancing the people’s sense of gain and happiness.
Chen Hongfeng expressed sincere gratitude to the Central Hong Kong and Macao Work Office for its long-term dedicated assistance and strong support to Zanhuang County. He said that the county would take this research visit as an opportunity to carefully absorb the guidance and suggestions, refine and improve work measures, further tap into its resource advantages, strengthen characteristic industries, and continuously consolidate the foundation for rural development. At the same time, Zanhuang will improve its long-term communication and cooperation mechanism, make good use of the advantages of Hong Kong and Macao resources, and fully promote the normalization and long-term effectiveness of targeted assistance results. The county will effectively transform assistance and support into practical results for high-quality development and strive to write a new chapter in advancing comprehensive rural revitalization.
