Public Notice on Recommended 2026 UNESCO Global Geopark Application Projects
In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Measures for the Administration of Global Geoparks and the Operational Guidelines for UNESCO Global Geoparks, it has been decided after review that Zanhuang, Hebei Province and Pingjiang, Hunan Province will be recommended by China to UNESCO as Global Geopark application projects for 2026.
The projects are hereby made public for comment. The public notice period is from May 28 to June 3, 2026. If there are any objections, please provide feedback to our department during the public notice period.
