To support the creation of Zanhuang World Geopark, protect and preserve natural and cultural heritage, further enrich the geological exhibit displays of Zanhuang Geopark, and enhance the narrative depth of its exhibitions, in accordance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics, the Regulations on Museums, the Regulations on the Protection of Fossil Remains, the Provisions on the Collection of Collections by State-Owned Museums, and other relevant laws and regulations, we are now openly soliciting collections from the public. The relevant requirements are as follows:
I. Scope of Collection
(1) Specimens that reflect the evolutionary characteristics of the Zhangshiyan landform;
(2) Specimens that reflect the evolutionary characteristics of the North China Craton;
(3) Fossil specimens related to the paleontological evolution of the Taihang Mountain region;
(4) Other specimens with collection and research value.
II. Collection Requirements
(1) The source of each specimen must be legal.
(2) Each proposed donated item must be accompanied by a brief written introduction, including: item name, item source, provenance, basic collector information, and photos of the specimen (see the attached Basic Information Registration Form for Proposed Donated Items).
III. Collection Method
Donations from all sectors of society are encouraged. For specimens that meet the museum's collection standards and are of significant value, a donation certificate will be issued to the donating enterprises, institutions, social organizations, or individuals.
IV. Collection Procedure
(1) Registration. Applicants shall download the application form online, fill in the Basic Information Registration Form for Proposed Donated Items, and submit it via email (contact information provided below).
(2) Selection. Experts will be organized to review the submitted specimens and finalize the list of specimens to be displayed.
(3) Acquisition. The specimens selected for display will be donated in batches, and relevant agreements shall be signed before they are formally accessioned into the museum.
V. Collection Period
The registration period for collection submissions shall commence from the date of publication of this announcement and shall remain open until December 31, 2026.
