In June 2002, Zanhhuang County Tourism Administration Bureau and Zhangshiyan Scenic Area Administration Office implemented the separation of government administration from enterprise operation, changing the previous situation of “one team with two titles and no clear separation between government and enterprise.” The current protection and management institution of the geopark is Zhangshiyan Scenic Area Administration Office, an independent corporate enterprise entity. The director of the administration office holds a full section-level administrative rank.
Zhangshiyan Scenic Area Administration Office consists of a director and deputy directors, as well as the General Office, Marketing Section, Planning and Finance Section, Tour Guide Service Section, Ticket Management Office, Safety and Security Section, Construction Service Office, and other sections and offices. Among them, the Construction Service Office and the Safety and Security Section are specifically responsible for the protection and development of the park.
In 2025, in accordance with the relevant instructions of the Organization Department of the CPC Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee regarding the management institution of Taihang Mountain Zhangshiyan Geopark, Zanhhuang County Zhangshiyan National Geopark Management and Conservation Center was established. It is affiliated with the Zanhhuang County Forestry Bureau, with its work functions remaining unchanged.
On March 14, 2025, Zanhhuang County Zhangshiyan National Geopark Management and Conservation Center received approval through the Reply of the Institutional Organization Commission of the CPC Zanhhuang County Committee on the Establishment of Zanhhuang County Zhangshiyan National Geopark Management and Conservation Center (Zan Ji Bian [2025] No. 4).
