On the morning of June 26, Zhangshiyan National Geopark of Zanhuang County visited the Geological Museum of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). The delegation also held discussions with teachers Li Jiangfeng and Wang Lu from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). The two sides reached preliminary consensus on the construction of scientific research and education bases, talent introduction, and high-level international academic conferences.
On the afternoon of June 26, Zhangshiyan National Geopark of Zanhuang County conducted a half-day study and exchange visit to the museum of Huanggang Dabieshan UNESCO Global Geopark. The delegation visited the museum and gained a comprehensive understanding of it. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on UNESCO Global Geopark creation, as well as the construction and management of geopark museums. Both sides agreed to carry out deeper exchanges and cooperation through the sister-park platform. Xu Yongbing, Director of Huanggang Dabieshan UNESCO Global Geopark, gave a detailed introduction to the creation and management of the geopark. The revalidation work completed in June 2025 served as both an assessment and an improvement process for Dabieshan, setting higher requirements for its future management. Xu Quanwen, Director of the Huanggang Dabieshan UNESCO Global Geopark Museum, introduced in detail the construction and management of the geopark museum and provided constructive guidance for the construction of the Taihang Mountain Zhangshiyan Geopark Museum.
On June 28, the delegation visited Enshi Grand Canyon–Tenglongdong Cave UNESCO Global Geopark. The delegation toured Tenglongdong Cave and the Grand Canyon scenic area, conducting detailed studies on the scenic area’s various construction projects during the creation of the UNESCO Global Geopark and its later-stage management work. On the morning of June 29, the delegation visited the museum of Enshi Grand Canyon–Tenglongdong Cave UNESCO Global Geopark. After the visit, the delegation held discussions with leaders of Enshi Grand Canyon–Tenglongdong Cave UNESCO Global Geopark to gain a full understanding of UNESCO Global Geopark creation and management, museum construction, and later-stage operation and management. At the meeting, Director Tan Zhixiong of Hubei Enshi Tenglongdong Grand Canyon National Geopark Administration gave a detailed introduction to the creation work of the UNESCO Global Geopark from six major aspects and shared various experiences gained during the creation of Enshi Grand Canyon–Tenglongdong Cave UNESCO Global Geopark. He also introduced in detail the museum’s construction and later-stage management work, which provides important guidance and reference for the construction of the Taihang Mountain Zhangshiyan UNESCO Global Geopark Museum.
After full consultation, the two sides jointly signed a sister-park agreement. Both sides agreed to carry out deeper and more productive exchanges and cooperation in various fields through the sister-park platform.
