On September 18, the Party Leadership Group of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision stationed at the Ministry of Natural Resources held the second special consultation meeting of 2025. The meeting reported on the progress of full and strict Party self-governance this year and the rectification of issues identified at the first special consultation meeting of 2025, analyzed the current situation and tasks facing full and strict Party self-governance and Party conduct and clean governance in the forestry and grassland system, and studied and deployed the next steps. Wei Shanzhong, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Head of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team stationed at the Ministry, attended and addressed the meeting. Liu Guohong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, presided over and addressed the meeting.
Wei Shanzhong pointed out that the Party Leadership Group of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration has earnestly implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and directives as well as the major decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee, carried out in-depth education on implementing the spirit of the central Party leadership’s eight-point decision with strict and practical standards, and achieved new results in full and strict Party self-governance. At the same time, it is necessary to clearly recognize that there are still gaps in the administration system in terms of transmitting responsibility for full and strict Party self-governance, preventing integrity risks in key areas, management, and work style development. It is necessary to further improve political awareness, effectively fulfill the principal responsibility and supervision responsibility for full and strict Party self-governance, continuously advance full and strict Party self-governance within the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, strive to create a positive atmosphere of dedication, integrity, and upright conduct in the forestry and grassland system, and provide strong political guarantees for the development of forestry and grassland undertakings in the new era.
Liu Guohong pointed out that the Party Leadership Group of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration has firmly upheld its role in the first echelon of practicing the “Two Upholds,” carried out in-depth education on implementing the spirit of the central Party leadership’s eight-point decision, consciously accepted supervision from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team stationed at the Ministry, and steadily promoted new achievements in full and strict Party self-governance. However, further efforts are still needed to strengthen standardized management and work style development. In the next step, the Party Leadership Group of the Administration will resolutely fulfill its political responsibility for full and strict Party self-governance, firmly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and directives as well as the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee, effectively promote new progress and results in internal management and work style development, and continuously advance full and strict Party self-governance.
Members of the Party Leadership Group of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration delivered remarks based on their respective areas of responsibility, focusing on the fulfillment of “one post with dual responsibilities.” Relevant officials from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team stationed at the Ministry attended the meeting. Principal officials from relevant departments of the Administration also attended as non-voting participants.
