On November 11, the Focus on Forests · Yanzhao Tour Shijiazhuang event was launched under the theme “Children’s Hearts Toward the Party, Building a Green China.” Relevant personnel from the Hebei Provincial Organizing Committee for Focus on Forests Activities and its member units, forestry and grassland authorities of various cities, as well as teachers and students participating in the study tour, attended the event.
The event aimed to encourage young people to enter nature, explore nature, understand nature, personally experience changes in the ecological environment, and showcase the spirit of young people in the new era as they participate in ecological civilization construction.
Wang Zhong, Deputy Director of the Hebei Provincial Organizing Committee for Focus on Forests Activities and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Hebei Provincial Forestry and Grassland Bureau, introduced the development of Focus on Forests activities in Hebei Province in recent years. He said that relevant departments at all levels across the province should give full play to their respective strengths, uphold a coordinated overall approach, focus on green development and ecological civilization construction, and continue to advance work in areas such as forestry and grassland protection and development, as well as ecological civilization publicity, so as to promote related work in a deeper and more practical manner.

After the launch ceremony, guests visited the sour jujube industry exhibition hall and study tour education base in Zanhuang County, Shijiazhuang City, and conducted on-site exchanges and discussions on related work.

Students from Liqiao School in Zanhuang County also participated in the event. On the day of the event, the students visited a bee-themed museum in Zanhuang County, and then entered Zhangshiyan National Geopark in Zanhuang County for outdoor study activities. Guided by forestry and grassland experts, the children walked into the forest to identify tree species, observed the canopy characteristics of the red-leaf forest, took ecological notes, and experienced creative hand-painting with bark rubbings, bringing the classroom into the forest.
The event was hosted by the Executive Committee of Hebei Provincial Focus on Forests Activities, Hebei Provincial Forestry and Grassland Bureau, and the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the CPPCC Hebei Provincial Committee. It was organized by the Publicity Center of Hebei Provincial Forestry and Grassland Bureau, Shijiazhuang Municipal Forestry Bureau, Zanhuang County Forestry Bureau, and Yuanshi County Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, with support from Zhangshiyan National Geopark Management and Conservation Center.
